This Scots born singer was the winner of UK TV series 'Opportunity Knocks',Cochrane's 1990 solo album, 'The Voice of Brenda Cochrane', was an album of covers and was produced by Quo's then producer,Pip Williams, who asked John to play on the track 'You Make Loving Fun'. Named 'International Female Vocalist' of 1992, she later went on to perform the lead ofMama Morton in the West End musical 'Chicago', a role now filled byAlison Moyet.
